The focus of this project was to make either outdoor sculptures, street art or land art. I went down the sculpture route. The piece was based on a Stone Cairn which are found in different places around the world. They are to mark a point in a journey. I used the idea of writing something down that you need to leave behind to be able to move forward in your journey of life. After writing what ever you need to you put it into one of the holes in the rocks, thus writing it in stone. 

This piece was made out of expanding foam and acrylic paint. The "rocks" were hollowed out so there was space inside to place the notes.
